A novella that follows a young black man, Genesis during a blackout in the city he lives in. Things take a turn and he is transported to a black utopia where all of his wildest dreams can come true.

When I decided to self publish The Blackout I thought to myself, “how will I showcase my novella to the world?” Then it hit me, “I’ll have an art showcase, displaying all the beautiful complexities of the black man.” I used photos to highlight the wonder, the pain, the mystery, the calmness, the excitement of the black man.
